Harris Red Revisited has been reformulated to work with Gillespie Borate. This glaze requires a slow cool-down kiln cycle. Seems to work best with Spanish red iron oxide vs standard. Even when red does not come through well it produces a very warm and rich brown. It is possible to watch this turn redder after removing from kiln.
It is very stable.. A great base glaze but difficult to clean from bottoms before firing.
